Heroic Dutch policemen risk lives to rescue man running across highway
A motorist’s dashcam caught the moment heroic police officers saved a man attempting to run into oncoming traffic on a highway near Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Three police officers risked their lives to stop the man from being hit by vehicles on the A65 between Tilburg and Berkel-Enschot on August 24.
A police vehicle pulled up on the hard shoulder after spotting the man waving his arms behind the highway guardrail.
The man then bolts across the highway as the officers approach him.
One of the officers swiftly tackled the man preventing him from being hit by an oncoming vehicle. Another two officers then helped drag the man out of harm's way.
The motorist whose dashcam caught this incident said: "I was an eyewitness to a dangerous situation on a dutch Highway.
The motorist whose dashcam caught this incident said: "The policemen didn't doubt for a single second and took swift action. The situation was life-threatening for everybody involved.
"A man tried to cross the four-lane road on foot, but police were there just in time to save him.
"In an effort to grab him, they risked their own lives, but succeeded to save his."
