Vehicles float in raging water during catastrophic monsoon floods in Pakistan
This is the shocking moment vehicles floated away in raging water during catastrophic floods in Pakistan.
Footage shows partially submerged SUVs drifting on the deluge that inundated homes in the Mingora Bypass area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 26.
Sherry Rehman, Pakistan Minister of Climate Change, said at least 900 people - including 326 children - have died from the weather calamity that has been battering the country since July.
She said: 'Thirty-three million have been affected in different ways. The final homeless figure is being assessed.'
Rehman described the floods as a 'humanitarian disaster of epic proportions,' as Pakistan appeals to the international community for aid.
The country's National Disaster Management Authority said July saw the worst rain in three decades, with 133% more rainfall than average.
