Shocking video footage shows a massive rubbish pile thought to stretch nearly 100ft down Edinburgh street
Shocking video footage shows a massive rubbish pile – thought to stretch nearly 100ft down a street in Edinburgh. Pictures from Montgomery Street today (Fri) show eight huge bins overflowing with rubbish and mountains of black bags piled up beside them. Hoards of takeaway and cardboard boxes covered the pavement amid bin strikes in the city. The strike began on August 18 and is due to finish on August 30, targeting the festival season. Unite and GMB unions took action while the City of Edinburgh Council promised a clean-up would happen immediately after.
