Thailand experienced widespread flooding this week due to monsoon and low-pressure areas of weather that covered 20,800 hectares of land in the northeastern region, with more than 11,000 hectares of rice fields affected.

The Meteorological Department warned of more heavy rain across the country until the end of the month as tropical storm Ma On is forecast to pass through the country.
