One of the world's weirdest sports: World Bog Snorkelling Championships return to Wales
The World Bog Snorkelling Championships took place in Mid Wales on Sunday (August 28).
The world-famous event took place at the Waen Rhydd bog just outside the town of Llanwrtyd Wells. Competitors took the plunge into the murky, muddy depths of the bog in various heats. The contest didn't take place in 2020 and 2021 because of coronavirus restrictions.
The event has attracted competitors from Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic and Australia, according to visitwales.com.
