Driver crashes through third story car park barrier plunging to the ground
This is the shocking moment a driver crashed through a concrete barrier on the third floor of a car park in Thailand.
Footage shows the motorist Pitipol Kanchanachaya ramming the wall in Nonthaburi on the outskirts of Bangkok on Sunday morning just after 6 am.
The first smash toppled the barrier forcing a hole in the wall before Pitipol returned a second time, crashing to the ground in his silver Toyota Vios.
Pitipol suffered minor injuries to his neck and was taken to the Pranangklao Hospital. His condition is not serious but police are yet to question him.
Security guard Pongphan Srisom said he heard the sound of a car hitting a concrete wall in the car park building so he rode his motorbike to check what was happening.
He said: 'While riding through the car park, I noticed a couple of dents on a wall. While I was looking for a car that may have hit the wall, there was another crash. I turned around and there was a car upended on the street.'
Police Lieutenant Colonel Saiyon Thongtha from the Bang Bua Thong Police Station said officers were still waiting to question the driver about his motives.
The policeman added: 'The CCTV from the building shows the driver crashed through the wall. We need to interview them at the hospital to check if this was deliberate or an accident.'
