This is the heartstopping moment tourists plunged into the sea when their boat capsized while they were taking a selfie.

Footage shows the holidaymakers posing for a group photo when their boat was hit by a strong wave in Davao, the Philippines on August 23.

The wave tilted their boat and flung them into the water. No one was hurt in the incident but their belongings were wet after the incident.

One of the 12 tourists, Myrah Murillo, said they were shaken by the incident but laughed it off upon reaching the port.

She said: ‘We were heading back to the port from an island. We wanted to take a souvenir picture. We were so scared but upon seeing the video and everyone was fine, we laughed it off.'



The boat was not damaged from the incident and none of the group were injured.
