A 10ft-long python regurgitated a chicken after being caught by snake wranglers in Thailand.

The serpent slithered into a coop and gorged on a farmer's game cock roosters in Prachin Buri province on August 28.

It was found curled up next to the chickens, too full to move, when the owner inspected the cage as some of his prized pets were missing.

Footage shows the creature with a bulging stomach laying among dry grass next to a net.

Farm owner Wuttichong Piasura, 29, said he found the snake when he arrived to feed his poultry.

He said: ‘While going around the coop I noticed one of the game cocks was missing. I immediately knew there was a snake inside and then I saw it. I called the rescuers because it was so big.'

When the rescuers pulled the snake from its hiding spot, the snake vomited out the chickens so it could move properly and escape.

However, it was still caught and placed in a sack to be released away from farms and villages.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
