Typhoon Hinnamnor (No. 11) was about 200km south-southeast of Miyako Island, Okinawa moving toward southwest Thursday morning, September 1.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has warned the typhoon could hit the country's southwestern islands with powerful gusts, high waves, mudslides, flooding of low-lying areas, and swollen rivers.
