The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) seized Rs 45,50,000 (USD 57,033.02) from the bag of a passenger at an airport in northern India's New Delhi.

The incident took place at Indira Gandhi International Airport on September 1.

Visuals showed the CISF official opening a bag and trying to search for something. After some time he found an inside pocket of the bag that had loads of cash.

According to reports, the CISF officials stopped two passengers with foreign currency notes worth Rs 45.5 lakh (USD 57,033.02). These travelers wanted to take notes outside the country by hiding them in laptop bags. Officials present during the security check at terminal three of the airport suspected them.

Both the passengers had exchanged bags with each other. On the basis of this suspicion, the CISF checked the trolley bags and laptop bags of the passengers and found 56200 US dollars and 3200 dirhams (USD 871.22) kept in them. The arrested passengers have been identified as Mohsin Saifi and Asim. Both the passengers were handed over to the customs department.

Saifi was travelling from Delhi to Hyderabad and Aseem from Delhi to Dubai. Mohsin gave the laptop bag to Asim, after which the CISF took this entire action. They said that both the passengers were unable to produce correct information or documents about the foreign notes.
