Terrifying crash as BMW side-swiped by lorry and spun across 3 lanes of the A12 in Essex, UK
Breath-taking dashcam footage has emerged of the moment a huge lorry smashed into a BMW car on the A12 in Colchester, UK.
The video, shot on 18 May, showed the smash from the perspective of a car behind the BMW.
The filmer said: "As we were pulling off the slip-road onto the A12 in Colchester, we noticed the HGV indicated left and changed lanes immediately," adding that the truck-driver's movement suggested they had not checked properly if the lane was clear.
The BMW, possibly in the juggernaut's blind spot, was then dramatically side-swiped and span in front of the lorry before finally ending up in the outside line.
Remarkably, there was an even more serious crash on the A12 that day, involving multiple lorries and a helicopter ambulance rescue that closed the road entirely.
