Cobra tangled around motorbike in eastern India finally freed after two-hour struggle
An Indian biker got a shock when he noticed a 1.5m (5 ft) cobra poking out from his motorbike's engine in the middle of Friday night (2 into 3 September).
He spotted the animal when his bike was parked at Jamtara railway station in Jharkhand state.
Initially local people tried to scare the snake out by hitting the bike with batons and using water, but after that didn't work they called a snake catcher.
It took the snake catcher around two hours to remove the cobra from the bike.
It was later released into the forest.
