Locals in Patna, Bihar, were forced to wade through knee-deep floodwater as the Ganges river rose above dangerous levels.

Footage captured on September 4 shows some residents swimming in the mirky floodwater as others attempted to pass through.

More rain is forecasted to be on the way.

The water level of river Ganga in Patna is increasing continuously. For this reason, water is flowing above the danger mark on the Ganga Ghats of Patna,Bihar.

Along with this, the water of the Ganges has started climbing in the areas adjacent to the river. At the same time, the water of the river has also climbed on the newly constructed Ganga path in Patna.

Due to which people are facing problem in transportation. Seeing this fierce form of Ganga, there is an atmosphere of panic among the people around.

As far as the rain forecast is concerned, moderate to high rain is likely to occur in the catchment areas of north Bihar rivers - Gandak, Burhi Gandak, Bagmati, Adhwara, Kamla and Kosi - up to September 3 in Nepal.
