Furious students at a government school in Dumka, Jharkhand, tied their teachers to a tree after they received poor marks.

Footage handed out by local officials investigating the incident shows several teachers tied to a tree by a group of students on August 31.

The pupils are heard yelling at the teachers, one is heard saying the teachers ruined his life.

After officials reached the spot, the teachers were released and taken away for treatment.

According to Block Education Extension Officer Surendra Hebram, the students complained that they were given fewer marks in practical examinations and no explanation was provided by the teachers.

One of the teachers, Kumar Suman, said: 'The poor performance of the students was due to the practical marks not being included in the result which was to be done by the school’s headmaster."

In a bizarre incident of unruly students , three teachers were tied and held by a tree using a thick rope , furious students in their school uniform can be seen shouting , surrounding the tied teachers , students can be heard yelling at teachers , they can be heard saying that their practical exams numbers are not added in the final marks , because of this they got poor marks and even some students got failed , one of the student heard saying that these teachers had ruined their life .

The teachers were released after the officials reached the spot on receiving the information and were taken for treatment.
According to Block Education Extension Officer Surendra Hebram, the students complained that they were given fewer marks in practical examinations and no explanation was provided by the teachers for the same.
One of the victim teacher Kumar Suman speaking abou the entire incident tells , he was called by the students on the pretext of holding a meeting. Students raised issue of poor marks , i explained to students that 'The poor performance of the students was due to the practical marks not being included in the result which was to be done by the school’s headmaster,' the teacher explained.
Officials have said that the matter will be investigated and proper action will be taken.
