An elderly man calmly lay on a sofa as the ceiling lamps shook due to an earthquake in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Yibin in Sichuan Province on September 5 shows a 75-year-old man laying on a sofa watching TV calmly as the quake shook the home.

The elderly man was heard shouting: "It was an earthquake!"

Then his grandson ran out of his bedroom and sat on the sofa with him.

The boy's grandmother told Sichuan Television that they live on the 23rd floor and could feel the tremor shake their building. Since they got used to it, the elderly man and his grandson were very calm.

According to reports, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Luding County in Sichuan Province on September 5. At least 66 people were killed and 15 people went missing.
