China earthquake: Firefighters transport injured across bridge made from tree trunks
Firefighters transported injured residents across a river using a makeshift bridge made from tree trunks in southern China.
Video filmed in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province on September 5 shows firefighters carrying an injured person across the tree trunks over a rapid-flowing river.
Due to the continuous rainfalls, the water level rose up and washed away the bridge. So firefighters used tree trunks to build a temporary wooden bridge to transfer the people injured in the earthquake.
Firefighters have safely transferred 24 seriously injured people.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
