This is the hilarious moment a group of divers interrupted a pair of turtles mating in the middle of the ocean.

N.K Dilshan, 29, was leading a dive five miles off the coast of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean when he spotted the romantic scene.

Funny footage shows the male turtle looking like he was piggybacked on to the female as the 29-year-old diving instructor jokingly shouted ‘turtle porn’.

Despite the group keeping a respectful distance from the turtles, they appeared to throw some serious side eye at their audience without breaking off from each other.

N.K Dilshan said: “We were on our way to snorkel with blue whales and were about five miles off the coast when I spotted these two. Straight away I recognised the turtles were mating.

“They were on surface for around four minutes before they started to swim bottom of the sea together.

“I don’t think we bothered them because as you can see in video they were very chill.

“I have been a dive guide for more than 12 years from now I had seen this around 10 times in my life, but I had never had the opportunity to record it before.

“This day I was so glad to capture the moment.”
