A bizarre piglet baffled farmers after it was born looking like a mutant elephant.

The creature had two large popping eyes, flappy pair of ears, and an elongated mass that looked like an elephant's trunk growing out of what should have been its nose in Negros Occidental province, the Philippines.

It was the last to come out of the mother pig after 11 normal piglets on September 2.

However, the deformed baby pig did not have a hole on its nose causing it to die only 30 minutes after it was born.

The farmer's daughter Daily Desabille said: ‘We were sad that the piglet didn't make it. We thought the creature was special and one of a kind.'

The piglet was buried on the farmer family's backyard afterwards.
