Teachers were scared when they checked CCTV and saw what they believe was a mysterious spirit floating around their school.

Maths tutor Sirikan Sukkaewchotirat was reviewing the school compound's security cameras when she noticed the ghost-like image moving slowly across the grass in Phitsanulok province on August 25.

She rewatched the recording multiple times and was convinced that it was a spirit that had floated next to trees and bushes.

CCTV footage shows the mysterious apparition appearing to wander under a massive tree's canopy.

Superstitious teacher Sirikan said: 'I was scared when I started to see the light move. I think the light is a spirit. My colleague thought the same.'

Sirikan showed the clip to school staff and many believe it was the ghost of a hungry woman that had come to look for food in school.

However, other teachers argued that the orbs were actually a spider spinning its web on the front of the surveillance camera lens.

It was unclear what the floating object was, but the teachers left offerings of food, juice and incense under the tree to appease what they believed to have been a spirit.
