Dog attacks 10-year-old in park, boy receives 150 stitches in northern India

A boy received 150 stitches after he was attacked by a pitbull at a park in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Sanjay Nagar area in Ghaziabad district on September 3.

Visuals showed the boy was in the park when the dog attacked him. The owner could be seen struggling to take control of the pitbull before it suddenly jumps on the 10-year-old, biting him relentlessly.

According to reports, the victim's family said that the boy had suffered severe injuries from the dog's bite and sustained 150 stitches on his face.

The victim has been identified as 11-year-old Pushp Tyagi. The owner of the dog rushed to control her pet, and the people present at the spot rescued the child from the dog's clutches when he was attacked.

Pushp was immediately rushed to a hospital where he underwent an operation and received over 150 stitches. His health condition is stable, and he has also been discharged from the hospital.

An FIR has been registered at the Ghaziabad Police Station regarding the case.
