A singer and her 85-year-old grandfather paid a heart-felt tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II with a rendition of the hymn "Abide with me". The video shows both singing with deep emotion in their voices, and tears in their eyes, as they remembered Her Majesty. Singer, Yazzy, 23, from North Devon, who prefers not to release her full name, was with her grandfather Leonard John, when they heard the news and were inspired to pay their respects to the monarch. Yazzy said: "Granddad was sat watching the news and was very quiet and obviously reflecting on life. "I wanted to sing with him to comfort him, but also we are proud to recognise all she has done. "Music is the thing that brings people together and it is my outlet for my emotions. "I personally was really struggling to get through the song. Just hearing the age in my own grandad's voice! I can't imagine how the royal family are feeling. "After we finished recording, I just sobbed and hugged him tight. "My grandfather is not a man of many words, but I could see tears in his eyes. He had a lot of respect for the Queen. "We sat together as a family last night, reflecting on her life and the wonderful things she's done."
