A woman was pulled out to safety after she crossed a railway track to switch platforms in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place at Shikohabad Junction of the eponymous district, on September 9.

Visuals showed the woman walking on the tracks to cross over from one platform to the other. She is suddenly facing difficulty in getting up on the other platform and Ramswaroop Meena, the Chief Staff Welfare Inspector Tundla, rushed to her rescue. He pulled her out and also dragged her belongings away from the track.

The woman however wasn't done yet as she perilously stuck out her head as the train was approaching to presumably pick up a water level.
