Attempted Murder arrest as man critical after being stabbed in Oldbury, West Midlands

West Midlands Police are investigating an attempted murder on Newbury Lane in Oldbury, West Midlands where a 32-year-old man was stabbed, leaving him critically injured.

Officers cordoned off a row of housing on 11 September where the attack took place. One house was also manned by officers.

A forensics officer in white overalls photographed the scene new to evidence markers.

Around a quarter of a mile from the scene, police also closed part of the Wolverhampton Road where a Mercedes vehicle had crashed near an Esso garage.

A small silver tent was placed near the vehicle as a forensic officer carried out investigations.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police told the Express and Star: ‘Police called just after 2am today (Sunday 11) to an address in Newbury Lane, Oldbury following reports of a stabbing.

‘A man aged 32 was taken to hospital with injuries to his chest where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

‘One man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and another man and two women were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

‘They all remain in custody while enquiries continue.’
