Police cars arrive at Doneraki restaurant in southeast Houston, US, after reports of a shooting, on the night of September 11. The police give a statement following the incident that involved a man and a police officer.

Before the police arrived, at around 11 pm, a man was escorted out of Doneraki restaurant. A few minutes later, he came back with a tire iron tool in his hand.

One of the business employees asked a detective with Liberty County District Attorney’s Office for his help. The officer, who was wearing his uniform, was attacked by the man.

In this video, a police officer gives more details about the incident. He says: "Suddenly, the suspect charges towards the officer with the tire arm and within two feet, the officer discharges his weapon more than once. The suspect runs out of the location and then passes away in the parking lot”.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

According to HPD, a man was shot by an investigator with Liberty County's District Attorney's Office who was working an extra job as security at Doneraki's, Houston on September 11.

The man was removed from the restaurant earlier in the night but returned with a tire iron and charged toward the officer with the tire iron in hand.
