Snake sneaks into under-construction building at government college in central India, rescued

A snake was rescued after it sneaked into an under-construction building in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident happened at the Government Post-Graduate college campus in Garhakota town of Sagar district on September 10.

Visuals showed Akeel Baba, a popular snake catcher, trying to capture the reptile. The snake, a black cobra, had its hood up and seemed to be ready to strike. The snake catcher tried to calm down the reptile by waving his hat over it and later, trying to pat its head.

However, using all his experience and skill, Akeel Baba managed to capture the snake inside a plastic bottle. According to a report, Akeel Baba was contacted by forest guard Nadeem Khan after the forest department was called following the snake's discovery in the premises. Akeel Baba said that this is snake belongs to a highly venomous species and can kill a person in just seven-eight minutes after a bite.
