This is the shocking moment an 'overloaded' cargo truck slid down a road incline before plunging into a ditch in Indonesia.

The vehicle was carrying goods along Pundu Village in Central Kalimantan when it suddenly stopped near the top of an uphill stretch of road on September 9. It then began rolling down the hill, prompting other motorists to reverse out of the way as quickly as they could.

The out-of-control truck started picking up speed before overturning and falling off the road into a nearby ditch.

Onlooker Febri Natalia said: 'The vehicles in the back kept their distance from the truck. At least that kept everyone safe.

'There were two white cars in front of me. They had time to back off to avoid a collision.'

The truck was allegedly overloaded, and its brakes were said to have failed during the incident. No casualties have been reported.
