A heroic motorist risked his own life to stop a three-wheeler moving across a road with a boy inside in northwestern China.

CCTV footage filmed in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province on September 12 shows a three-wheeler with a 3-year-old boy inside speeding across a road.

A motorist named Liu spotted the scene when he was about to leave. He then came out of his car immediately to use his own body to stop the three-wheeler.

Since Liu did not have time to stop his car, it moved forward itself. The motorist ran to chase it and jumped into the car to stop it after rescuing the boy.

According to Liu, the boy's father left the three-wheeler and did not take the key out. The boy then twisted the key and accidentally launched the three-wheeler.

Fortunately, Liu only had minor injuries to his arm and he is resting at home now.

当事人刘先生称，当时准备开车离开，就看见一辆三轮车开了过来，仔细观察发现车上有一个小男孩，自己当时没多想，想着赶紧下车把孩子救下来，结果车速太快，来不及反应就撞上自己。所幸，最后男孩被安全救下。刘先生表示，男童父亲当时刚下三轮车不到一分钟，因为未拔车钥匙，孩子误将车钥匙拧开开走。自己只是胳膊被撞，没伤到骨头，没有大碍，目前在家休息。（视频由甘肃台提供）
