Several locals in Hoa Binh, Vietnam, teamed up to extinguish a fire that had engulfed a utility pole.

According to an eyewitness, explosions were heard coming from the pole and soon after it caught fire.

Nearby residents used a dry tree to separate the wire from the flaming pole before dousing the flames with water.

After around two minutes, the fire was brought under control.

According to eyewitnesses, they heard explosions coming from the pole, and soon after the pole caught fire. The men quickly regrouped to find a way to put out the fire. To avoid electric shock, they used a dry tree to separate the wire from the fire and then sprayed it with a fire extinguisher. After about 2 minutes the fire was quickly brought under control.
Without the men appearing in time, the fire could spread to other power poles and short-circuit the entire area.
