A python was found in the drain of an official's premises in central India's Chhattisgarh.

The incident took place in Korba district on September 13.

Visuals showed a man pulling out the snake that was lying in the drain. He struggled a bit before getting hold of it. A huge crowd was seen present at the spot to witness the rescue.

According to reports, a jam was created near the official's premises because of the python. The crowd started gathering to see what was happening and after some time, a few constables arrived and started dispersing them.

Seeing the growing crowd, the passers-by immediately informed the snake rescue team president Jitendra Sarathi of the district. After Sarathi reached the spot, the people were removed and rescue started. The eight feet long python was pulled out of the drain and was rescued.
