A labourer and a student came across one diamond each in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

This happened in the Panna district, a place famously known for its diamond mines, on September 15.

Visuals showed the labourer, identified as Jeevan Lal Kushwaha and student Mohammad Tariq Khan with their diamonds at the diamond office. According to a report, both of them, from the Krishna Kalyanpur village, had set up mines in the area.

Tariq Khan is a student of mining and he had set this mine up after taking a lease from the diamond office. After three months, he found himself a 3.33-carat diamond while Kushwaha, along with his accomplices Vidya Jatav and Rammu Kushwaha, obtained a 1.76-carat diamond after working at his mine for a year.

Both these diamonds would be put up for auction and the proceeds would be given to them after necessary deductions. Kushwaha said that the money from this would help him improve his financial condition as he aims to set up a business. Tariq Khan, on the other hand, plans to use it to finance his studies.
