Residents in eastern China flocked to a beach to collect shellfish washed up by Typhoon Muifa.

Video filmed in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on September 16 shows dozens of residents holding buckets to collect shellfish on a beach.

The tide receded after Typhoon Muifa passed over, leaving a large amount of shellfish on the beach.

The filmer Mr Hu said to Shangdong Television that some of the shellfish were farmers' and some were from the sea.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
