A meeting at Odesa City Council, Mayor's Office, on finalizing the bid to put the historic part of Odesa on UNESCO World Heritage list

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced on August 30 that it supported Ukraine’s request to put Odesa on the World Heritage List.

Today, Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov and his office held an online meeting with Ernesto Ottone, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture; Alessandro Balsamo, UNESCO Nomination Unit head; Maria Pianigiani, UNESCO Focal Point of the Ministry of Culture; Emine Dzhaparova, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; the Head of Ukraine's National Committee of Ukraine on UNESCO affairs; Kateryna Chuyeva, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

The documents for the bid are forwarded to UNESCO for final review.
