Children who were playing on the back of trolley, were left shocked as they stumbled upon a snake that was laying underneath an iron sheet on the vehicle, in central India's Chhattisgarh.

The incident happened in the Bundeli village of Korba district on September 16.

Visuals showed snake rescuer Yogesh Shah slowly remove the iron sheet to take out the snake. The reptile kept slithering on the trolley and was difficult to grab a hold of. Shah used a metal rod with a hood-like ending to pin down the snake at one place before taking it out by its tail and the stick.

The snake, which was a cobra, was then put on the ground where Shah managed to capture it inside of a plastic container. This was a sigh of relief for all who were present there. Shah and his aide Prakash, who assisted him in the snake's rescue, work with popular snake catcher Jitendra Sarathi.
