A Thai massage parlour has special rubdowns performed by blind people.

The Perception Blind Spa employs visually impaired people who are gifted in reflexology to provide relaxing treatments in the capital Bangkok.

Owners of the facility believe that blind people have a unique talent to fully focus on their sense of touch without being distracted by visual stimuli.

They built a spa that gives blind masseuses and masseurs the chance to earn a stable income in a country with few benefits or safety nets for the handicapped.

Some of Perception's well-known services include Thai body massage, aromatherapy body massage, herbal ball body massage, and foot massage.

Speaking in the video, masseur Khun Top, said: 'I had been working in Nong Khai province for seven to eight years, but when I moved to Bangkok I had nothing to do. But when I started working here, I met more people.

'This has given me purpose and self-confidence. It has made my life worthwhile.'

Satisfied customer Isabelle said: 'It feels really relaxing while having the massage. He was really precise when he pressed down on the muscles.

'I think they're really gentle when they do it and they're very careful and they press your muscles and other parts of the body, so it's really nice to be able to experience this.

'They put all of their effort in and they really care about how they do it, compared with a normal massage.'
