A young artist makes detailed K-pop portraits using sewing thread in beautiful string art.

Angelica de Guzman, 25, from Pangasinan province, the Philippines, prepares her canvas by pinning hundreds of tiny needles on white cardboard using a small hammer.

She then runs the thread around the needles to produce lines and shades until she achieved her desired image.

Footage shows talented Angelica spooling a black thread among the pointy needles to create portraits of a friend and a famous K-pop artist.

She said: ‘To fellow artists, keep on practising. That self-doubt won't do you anything good. It'll just keep you from getting a little better. Even if you think you are not doing well if you are passionate about it. You will eventually see that you are better than before.'
