Typhoon Nanmadol caused severe flooding around Kintai Bridge, Iwakuni, Japan.

The typhoon, which has now weakened, made another landfall in Fukuoka on Monday (September 19).

Nine million people have been told to evacuate.

A linear rain belt is forecast to further drench northern Kyushu, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kinki, and Tokai regions until September 20.

The Japan Meteorological Agency warned residents to be vigilant about landslides and overflowing rivers.
