During a safari on Monday (September 19) in Kruger National Park, South Africa that the filmer came across a large pride of lions and noticed two male lions battling for the attention of one lionness.

"The pride consisted of twenty-two lions and they were lying scattered around. The male lion that has been after the lioness the whole time was not going to have any of that. The male lion ran after and tackled his brother into a cloud of dust while paws and teeth were flying with the most intense and powerful sounds. The quick fight between the two males was so unexpected and took us totally by surprise. Our hearts were racing while the lion commotion disappeared into the bush," said the filmer.

The male lion is known to be the most powerful predator in Africa. When two of these beasts meet for a quick scuffle, things can really get intense.
It was during a safari in the Kruger National Park that we came across a large pride of lions. The pride consisted of twenty-two lions and they were lying scattered around. Our attention was drawn to a male and female lion a little further away from the rest of the pride. It looked like something was happening between the two lions as they were not relaxed at all like the rest. The lioness would walk in one direction before the male would stop her and then she would try heading in another direction and the male would block her off again. The pair of lions carried on like this, up and down, with the female clearly not interested in the male, and the male not willing to let the lioness go. The lioness then went to lie down, giving the male the impression that she will stay. They male got comfortable and before he could even lie down properly, the female jumped up and moved off again. The male quickly set after the lioness before she suddenly side stepped the male, made a u turn and ran off with great speed. In the meantime, another male lion, the brother, has been watching this whole ordeal from a distance just out of frame. Suddenly this male lion jumps up and sets after the female as well.
