Shards of glass and bottles on shop floor after earthquake hit Mexico
A magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck about 37 kilometers southeast of Aquila in Michoacan, western Mexico, on Monday (September 19) leaving at least one person dead. Shaking was reported as far away as Mexico City.
This video shows the aftermath of the quake inside a shop in Uruapan. Many products fell from the shelves. A large number of bottles and shards of glass lay on the floor.
A tsunami warning was issued immediately after the quake, but the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says the tsunami threat has now largely passed.
