Fast food chain McDonald's has reopened several stores in Kyiv for the first time since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.

Three restaurants were opened in the country's capital on September 20 and footage shows delivery riders picking up their orders. The restaurants are currently open for delivery only.

Head of Corporate Communications at McDonald's Alesya Mudzhyri wrote on Facebook: "Seven more establishments in Kyiv will reopen in about a week, followed by the rest of the restaurants in the capital and in different cities in the west of the country."

Mudzhyri also mentioned there is an evacuation plan for staff and customers incase of air strikes.

All restaurants in the city are expected to resume full operations in October.
