A historic day in the life of Greg Vavra became even more special when he got an unexpected visit from one of his favourite people in the world.

The heartwarming footage kicks off with Greg posing for photos after getting inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

While he's busy in the aforementioned activity, his daughter Jade (who lives in a different town) sneaks up on him from behind and appears in the last photo.

When Greg is shown that photo, he gets confused. But then he turns around and sees Jade standing there, which instantly turns his confusion into pure joy.

The dad goes on to admit that his first reaction to seeing the photo of him and his daughter was that it was a photoshop trick.

"My dad was being inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame," the filmer said. "I flew in to surprise him for the weekend."
