A Vietnamese woman moved dozens of pigs to her house's second floor and rooftop to save them from raging floods. Heavy rains caused flash floods and landslides in the mountainous region of northern Vietnam.

The woman said the water suddenly reached her area and rapidly rose to more than two meters. When she realised that the situation was dangerous, she moved 30 pigs and her furniture to the upper floors with the help of her family.

The water submerged hundreds of houses as it rose to three meters.

Luckily, the water began receding the day after. The woman decided to move the pigs to a safe place.

According to the woman, floodwater suddenly poured into her area and rose rapidly. Flood water rose to more than 2 meters, prompting her and her family to quickly move furniture and 30 pigs to the 2nd floor and terrace to avoid flooding.
Floodwater quickly surrounded the area and rose to 3 meters, leaving hundreds of houses submerged in the sea. After 1 day, the flood water began to recede and people were able to move the pigs to a safe place.
Flooding has caused the mountainous region of northern Vietnam to be severely affected by flash floods and landslides.
