Five-foot-tall sea foam looking like cappuccino froth covers a beach in Tathra, a seaside town on Australia's Sapphire Coast. The odd-looking phenomenon was caused by a storm.

Andy Willis was visiting Tathra Beach, in New South Wales, when he came across it. The foam was almost waist deep.

Willis said: “The beach completely disappeared. A huge east coast low created a big rain event which led to the massive wave swells. The ocean was a murky brown in places as was the foam".

The footage was filmed on March 3.

An Australian storm has caused a beach to be covered in five-foot-tall sea foam that looks like cappuccino froth.

Andy Willis was visiting Tathra Beach, in New South Wales, on March 3, when he came across the phenomenon which was almost waist deep in parts.

Andy said: “The beach has completely disappeared. This is easily the biggest I’ve ever seen the foam here.

“A huge east coast low created a big rain event which has led to the massive wave swells.

“The ocean was a murky brown in places as was the foam. It was nature at its most raw.”
