Hundreds of healthcare workers and their unions, accompanied by local sections of political parties, rallied and then marched through the streets of Nantes, France on Thursday (September 22).

The protests denounce the colossal new hospital project planned in the upcoming years in Nantes running an estimated 1.3 billion Euros while workers are left demanding higher wages.

Better wages, more funding for public hospitals, more recruitment, the protesters had many demands as they face increasing difficulties to treat patient correctly in their services.
They also denounce the colossal new hospital project that is planned in the upcoming years in Nantes. This project would see the construction of a new hospital but workers denounce its cost (more than 1.3billion euros) and the suppression of hospital beds.
Overall, the protest also wants to denounce the decresing funds for all the public services, and its impact on patient, consumers and users, especially on poor people.
