This footage shows Ukrainian Marines operating artillery on the frontlines with the Marine Corps Command saying they recently took out seven enemy war machines and an ammunition warehouse.

The images show two groups of marines firing a round of artillery each off into the distance at unseen Russian targets after their commanding officer gives them the order to fire.

The video was obtained from the Marine Corps Command of the Ukrainian Navy on Tuesday, September 20, along with a statement saying: 'On September 19, the military units and units of the Marine Corps Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are part of the groups, continued to perform tasks related to repelling the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

'Artillery military units and units of the Marine Command of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted fire damage on the invaders, as a result of which our soldiers destroyed two self-propelled 'Akatia' howitzers, a self-propelled 'Hyacinth-S' artillery gun, three 'Grad' multiple launch rocket systems, and an 'Msta-S' self-propelled howitzer, as well as a warehouse with ammunition. The final losses of the enemy are being determined.

'Glory to Ukraine!'

The images and statement were also relayed by the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation.'

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between February 24 and September 20, Russia had lost about 54,810 personnel, 2,216 tanks, 4,724 armoured combat vehicles, 1,323 artillery units, 318 multiple launch rocket systems, 168 air defence systems, 252 warplanes, 217 helicopters, 925 drones, 239 cruise missiles, 15 warships, 3,587 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 125 units of special equipment.

Russia has claimed that its casualties have been much lower but provides infrequent updates on its latest figures.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the speed at which the country's forces have retaken land in the Kharkiv region is causing 'panic' among the Russian invaders. He added that the focus was now on 'the speed at which our troops are moving. The speed in restoring normal life.'

Ukraine has recaptured a village near the eastern city of Lysychansk, in a symbolic victory, as it means that the Russian forces do not fully control the Luhansk region anymore. Full control of the Luhansk region is one of Vladimir Putin's key war aims.

The Ukrainian Governor of Luhansk, Serhiy Haidai, said Ukraine's armed forces were in 'complete control' of Bilohorivka, a Lysychansk suburb. He added: 'Soon we will drive these scumbags out of there with a broom. Step by step, centimetre by centimetre, we will liberate our entire land from the invaders.'

A pro-Russian court in the separatist-held part of Luhansk has jailed two people working for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for 13 years on charges of treason. Zbigniew Rau, The OSCE's Chairman, called the detention of OSCE members 'unjustifiable' and said that it was 'nothing but pure political theatre” and 'inhumane and repugnant.'

The Ukrainian authorities have now exhumed 146 bodies from a mass burial site near Izyum in eastern Ukraine where 445 civilians were buried during the Russian occupation. Oleh Synyehubov, the Governor of the Kharkiv region, said that two children were among the bodies exhumed so far.
