Chinese teenager catches 5-year-old skater speeding down slope toward traffic
A teenager stopped a 5-year-old boy from speeding down a slope into traffic in southern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Baise in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on September 16 shows a 5-year-old boy sitting on a skateboard sliding down an around 80-metre-long slope at a fast speed.
A 17-year-old boy named Ran Qinrui walking past the area used his own body to stop the boy.
According to reports, Ran was a student at Longlin Vocational Technical Secondary School. He witnessed the incident when he was on his way back to school.
Thanks to Ran, the boy did not slide into a busy road.
