This is the amazing moment a wild deer effortlessly hurdled a car while crossing a road in Michigan on Thursday evening.

The wild animal was spotted by Michigan police while driving in the southwestern region of the state on September 22.

Dashcam footage shows a trio of deer sprinting across the highway as cars sped by.

One of them made it to the other side without issue, but a second deer needed to vault over a sedan to avoid a collision. The third ran right in front of the police cruiser, which slowed down and allowed the animal to pass.

A police spokesman said: 'Fall has arrived. With that comes the infamous increase of deer crossings.

'Reminder: if deer cross your path, apply controlled braking. Steer straight. Don't swerve.'

Michigan authorities said about 50,000 vehicle crashes involving deer are reported in the state yearly. The accidents usually happen during dusk or dawn, they said.
