Group of farmers find diamond worth $9883 while setting up mine in central India
A group of farmers found a diamond worth Rs. 8 lakh (USD 9883.06) while setting up a mine in central India's Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place in Panna district on September 22.
Visuals showed the diamond being examined under a microscope. It is also seen being weighed.
A Brijpur-based farmer named Rajendra Gupta, along with his six other associates, got a lease from the diamond office to set up a mine in Lalki Dheri. After working for several days they found a bright diamond of 3.21 carats which they deposited in the diamond office.
After getting the diamond, the happiness of the farmer and his companions were unmatchable. The farmer says that they will dhare all the money received after the auction of diamonds, equally among themselves and will do some business for employment.
It is said that this is a bright type of diamond that will be placed in the coming auction and after deducting royalty, the remaining money will be given to the farmer.
