Vigilant cop rescues man after he slips while de-boarding moving train in southern India

Vigilant cops saved the life of a man who was trying to de-board a moving train in southern India's Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place at Coimbatore Railway Station on September 22.

Visuals showed the passenger trying to get down when he suddenly slipped and fell between the gap of the train and platform. However, the vigilance of the cops saved his life as they pulled the man out of the gap. A huge crowd gathered around the victim.

The victim named Sivakumar, a resident of Salem, went to Kannur in Kerala and was returning to Coimbatore when the incident took place.

Unfortunately, he had fallen asleep when he reached his station. He woke up at the last minute when the train was leaving the station. In an effort to get down, he tried to leave the train which was moving and he slipped.

Chief constable Ramesh, constable Marimuthu, assistant inspector of Railway Protection Force, Arunjith and lady head constable Mini rushed to help Shivkumar. All of them dragged him from the edge of the platform.

After the incident, Sivakumar was sent to the Coimbatore government medical college for treatment.
