As we left Camp one morning in the Maasai Mara, Kenya, we saw some hyenas chasing after a wildebeest who had been separated from the herd. Eventually the wildebeest just tired out and the hyenas starting biting it and taking chunks out of it. It was awful to watch as the wildbeest almost looked at me and there was nothing I could do as I watched it die. It is important that we do not interfere with the circle of life. The hyenas then proceeded to eat the whole wildebeest and in less than an hour, there was hardly anything left of the poor wildbeest.
