Big male lion from Maasai Mara Kenya with a huge bleeding gash on his eye, caused by a territorial fight with another male lion.
We were on safari in the Maasai Mara, Kenya one day, when over the brow, we saw this big male lion walking towards us. He was looking in all directions as if running away from something. When he turned his head, we noticed this huge gash near his eye. He had had a territorial fight with another male overnight and was running away from him. A few minutes later, we also saw the other male lion but without any injuries.
